We are a buyer of many products and services from external suppliers. These relationships are governed by regulations and our own policies to ensure fairness, transparency and value for money.
We are committed to delivering value for money and Procurement plays a key role in supporting this commitment. By effectively managing our relationships with suppliers, we are able to increase our ability to create more places for people to call home, support them to live well and build lasting homes and communities.
The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 govern how we select and award contracts for supplies and services above certain financial values or thresholds.
The current thresholds, which will apply until 31 December 2022, are as follows:
- Supply, services and design contracts: £189,330
- Works contracts: £4,733,252
- Social and other specific services: £663,540
For contracts worth less than these amounts, we are guided by our own internal procurement policies and procedures.
All contract opportunities above the thresholds must, by law, be advertised through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
